James J. Harting, LCSW, CEAP
President

Jim has been the President of Harting Associates, Inc. for the past 30 years.  In 1985 Jim developed the first DAYBREAK EAP Software.  In the subsequent 21 years, a major focus of his activities has been to provide consultation, planning and training services as well as specialized software to over 250 employee assistance programs and behavioral health programs.  Harting Associates has owned or consulted in the start up of 5 EAP Companies, set up over 20 Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers, and provides various health related consultations.

Thirty six years of Social Service administration and consultation experiences have given Mr. Harting the background to incorporate EAP needs into computer technical knowledge.  He has provided training to over 75 staffs of EAP firms and behavioral health programs on implementing computer technology and software.

Mr. Harting is a member of EAPA and a CEAP.  He has held several offices including President of the St. Louis, MO Chapter of EAPA and has been a member of EAPA’s National Legislative & Public Policy Committee serving as Chair for two years.
